Taiwan EPA Consults on Adding 15 Concerned Chemical Substances
On September 8, 2022, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) of Taiwan released a public consultation on adding 15 chemical substances as concerned chemical substances into three categories: New Psychoactive Substances (NPS); Concerned chemical substances with food safety risk concerns; and concerned chemical substances of explosive precursors. Moreover, it specifies the management and regulation of activities such as production, import, sale, uses, storage, and transportation. The period for public comments will last 14 days.
Taiwan Revised the Labeling and SDS Rules for Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances
The Toxic and Chemical Substances Bureau, Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan, (Taiwan, China) released the amendments to articles of the Regulation for the Labeling and Materials Safety Data Sheets for Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances on July 21, 2022.
Taiwan Revised the Safety Guidelines for Children’s Cosmetics
On August 17, 2022, the Taiwan FDA issued Circular No. 1111608018, revising the safety guidelines for children’s cosmetics. The supervision of children’s cosmetics in Taiwan is also very rigorous and many cosmetic ingredients are not allowed to be used in children’s cosmetics.
