Interpretation of Selected Ingredients

Ganoderma lucidum is a polypore fungus of the family Ganodermataceae, distributed across Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, and other regions in China. It primarily contains amino acids, peptides, proteins, fungal lysozyme, as well as carbohydrates (reducing sugars and polysaccharides), ergosterol, triterpenoids, coumarin glycosides, volatile oils, stearic acid, benzoic acid, alkaloids, and vitamins B2 and C. Its spores also contain mannitol and trehalose.

Dendrobium officinale is a plant of the genus Dendrobium in the family Orchidaceae, primarily distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of Oceania and Asia. In China, it mainly grows in provinces south of 32°N latitude, including Yunnan, Zhejiang, Guizhou, and Guangxi. Dendrobium officinale is recorded in many ancient Chinese medical texts. Compared with common Dendrobium species, it is richer in vitamins, polysaccharides, and lactam alkaloids, with more pronounced effects in clearing heat and toxins, nourishing yin, and boosting immunity. In November 2023, the National Health Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation issued Announcement No. 9 of 2023, adding Dendrobium officinale to the catalogue of substances that are both traditional foods and traditional Chinese medicinal materials.

Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) is a biodegradable synthetic polymer with high biocompatibility. It is characterized by being non-toxic, non-irritating, biodegradable and absorbable, with high strength, good plasticity, and ease of processing. In the medical aesthetics field, after injection into the dermal layer of the skin, it slowly stimulates autologous collagen regeneration, thereby reducing wrinkles, improving skin texture, and enhancing facial contours.

Camellia petelotii (Golden Camellia) is an evergreen shrub of the genus Camellia in the family Theaceae. It is distributed in the limestone mountain evergreen forests of southern Guangxi, China, and northern Vietnam, and is classified as a national second-level protected wild plant in China. Golden Camellia has both edible and medicinal value. Research indicates that it is rich in more than ten trace elements with important health benefits, including organic germanium, selenium, manganese, molybdenum, vanadium, and zinc, as well as tea polyphenols and essential amino acids, offering multiple health-promoting properties such as antioxidation, lipid reduction, and immunity enhancement.

Thesium chinense is a perennial herb of the genus Thesium in the family Santalaceae. It was first recorded in the Bencao Tujing (Illustrated Materia Medica), compiled by Su Song and others during the Song Dynasty. Historically, only the root was used, while in modern times the entire plant is used medicinally. Research shows that it has the effects of clearing heat, resolving dampness, and detoxifying, and holds considerable market value and demand in the traditional Chinese medicinal materials market.

Tuber sinense, also known as Chinese black truffle, is mainly distributed in the southwestern plateau regions of China, including Yunnan, Sichuan, and Tibet. Research indicates that Tuber sinense is rich in 17 amino acids, 8 vitamins, an appropriate amount of protein, and over 50 physiologically active compounds, including androstenedione, sterols, sphingolipids, and fatty acids.

Akebia trifoliata is a deciduous woody vine of the genus Akebia in the family Lardizabalaceae, distributed across Hebei, Shanxi, Shandong, Henan, southern Shaanxi, southeastern Gansu, and provinces along the Yangtze River valley in China, as well as in Japan. Research shows that the roots, stems, and fruits of Akebia trifoliata can all be used medicinally, with diuretic, galactogogue, and muscle-relaxing effects. The fruit can be eaten directly, used for wine-making, and its seeds can be pressed for oil.
