Recently, China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) released the Catalog of Health Food Ingredients: Lycopene (Draft for Public Comment), proposing to include lycopene in the catalog of health food ingredients and soliciting public feedback.

To further advance the filing process for health foods, and in accordance with the Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China, the State Administration for Market Regulation drafted the Catalog of Health Food Ingredients: Lycopene (Draft for Public Comment). The agency is now soliciting public feedback, with the deadline for comments and suggestions set for May 10, 2026.
