Our team had a fantastic time attending CHEMUK 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, reconnecting with industry contacts, meeting new faces, and discussing the latest developments in global chemical regulatory compliance.
As the UK’s leading trade event for the chemicals, laboratory, and process industries, CHEMUK once again delivered an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, explore emerging regulatory challenges, and strengthen relationships across the supply chain.
Throughout the two-day exhibition, the CIRS EU and UK team held a large number of productive meetings with both existing clients and potential new customers. It was particularly valuable to reconnect in person with long-standing industry partners while also meeting companies seeking support with UK REACH, EU CLP, China REACH (MEE Order 12), GHS compliance, hazardous chemicals regulation, and wider global product stewardship requirements.
The atmosphere across Hall 5 was busy and energetic throughout the event, with strong engagement across the exhibition floor, conference sessions, and networking areas.
Adam Hembrecht’s CHEMUK 2026 Presentation
A key highlight for our team was Adam Hembrecht’s presentation China’s Hazardous Chemicals Safety Law and What It Means for Compliance in 2026. The session explored the significant regulatory changes introduced under China’s new Hazardous Chemicals Safety Law, including enhanced supervision requirements, digital compliance expectations, mandatory Chinese-language SDS and labelling obligations, and increased enforcement measures impacting companies manufacturing, importing, exporting, or managing hazardous chemicals in China.
The presentation generated excellent engagement and sparked a number of insightful follow-up discussions at our booth with attendees interested in understanding the practical implications for global supply chains and chemical compliance strategies.
If you were unable to attend Adam’s presentation at CHEMUK 2026, you are welcome to get in touch with the CIRS team to request a copy of the presentation slides. We will also be publishing a more detailed regulatory write-up on this topic soon.

Thank You for Visiting Us at CHEMUK 2026
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, attended the presentation, or met with the team during the exhibition. Events like CHEMUK continue to highlight the importance of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and staying ahead of rapidly evolving global chemical regulations.
We look forward to continuing the conversations started at CHEMUK 2026 and hope to see everyone again next year at CHEMUK 2027!
