Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC) Undergoes Its Third Dynamic Adjustment

On January 4, 2026, China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced the third dynamic adjustment to the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC).

Updates to IECIC I are as follows:

  • Three cosmetic ingredients – Black Ginseng Extract, Zinc Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, and Galactomannan – which previously had their new cosmetic ingredient filings canceled due to being classified as existing ingredients, have now been officially included in IECIC I after review. Relevant remarks have been added accordingly.
  • Standardization and corrections have been made to the Chinese names, INCI names, and/or English names of certain ingredients, along with updates to related remarks.
