On January 4, 2026, China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced the third dynamic adjustment to the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC).
Updates to IECIC I are as follows:
- Three cosmetic ingredients – Black Ginseng Extract, Zinc Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, and Galactomannan – which previously had their new cosmetic ingredient filings canceled due to being classified as existing ingredients, have now been officially included in IECIC I after review. Relevant remarks have been added accordingly.
- Standardization and corrections have been made to the Chinese names, INCI names, and/or English names of certain ingredients, along with updates to related remarks.
