EFSA has concluded that a carbon dioxide extract from Cannabis sativa L. cannot currently be assessed as a novel food due to insufficient data. A significant portion of the extract remains uncharacterized, and the toxicological studies provided were not representative of the final product. In addition, no data were submitted to support safety for the intended population. As a result, EFSA determined that the available evidence is inadequate to establish the safety of the product under the proposed conditions of use.➡️Read more
