Recently, the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Promotion Centre formally announced the list of 11 Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) consulting service providers. CIRS Group secured one spot due to its accumulated technical expertise and professional capabilities in dual-carbon services. This marks the recognition of CIRS Group LCA consulting capabilities, thus enabling it to continue delivering more compliant and internationally compatible technical support for corporate green transitions.

EPD Programme Operator
EPD Programme Operators (PO) are the authoritative bodies responsible for executing, managing, and supervising Type III environmental declaration projects. Major international EPD organizations include: EPD International (IES), EPD Norway, EPD Italy, and UL EPD.
The EPD Promotion Centre is currently the sole PO in China.
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
EPD is a Type III environmental declaration based on the ISO 14025 international standard. It quantifies a product's environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle to produce an objective, transparent third-party verification report. The EPD system is currently the most widely applied environmental declaration globally, covering virtually all products and services worldwide. It is also regarded as the most effective support tool for government green procurement and product eco-design.

CIRS Group contributed to drafting and reviewing the Sinopec Consortium's guidelines for calculating product carbon footprints in the petroleum and chemical industries. They have provided long-term compliance management consulting for over 60 Fortune 500 clients including BASF, Bayer, Syngenta, Procter & Gamble, and L'Oréal, delivering and implementing more than 220 LCA/PCF/EPD projects.
In 2023, CIRS Group became a member institution of Eco-Platform, establishing long-term stable cooperation mechanisms with professional bodies including Kiwa, UL, EPD Global, EPD International, and EPD Italy. The group has published over 30 EPD reports, delivering comprehensive, one-stop service solutions across the entire value chain for its clients.
