CIRS is a leading product safety and regulatory consulting firm. We're seeking a Senior Business Executive to identify and generate new business opportunities for our food regulatory affairs services across the Continental Europe. This role will serve as our gateway to the European market for the Food Division, fostering close collaboration with our core team in China to effectively serve our European clients.

The Food Division is one of the fastest-growing departments at CIRS. The Global New Food Ingredients Application is becoming one of our flagship projects. Our services related to Global New Food Ingredients include: GRAS Notice, NHC New Food Raw Material Registration in China, New Food Ingredient Application in South Korea, EU Novel Food Application, and Novel Food Application in Australia and New Zealand.

Job responsibilities

  • Possess original insights in the global food compliance field, especially in businesses related to Global New Food Ingredients Application. With the support of the CIRS team, be able to formulate and implement clear plans for exploring the European market, and ensure the achievement of relevant sales targets set by the company.
  • Obtain target customer leads through targeted promotion or relevant marketing activities, secure opportunities to dialogue with key decision-makers of customers to identify their relevant needs, and ultimately obtain cooperation opportunities. Work with the team to provide expert consultancy on food compliance, regulatory, and testing requirements, collaborating closely with clients to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Enhance the company's presence in the EU market by participating in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A BSc. or MSc degree in food, biology, microorganism, or related discipline;
  • More than 5 years of marketing development experience in a consultancy or food Regulatory Compliance related experience. With experience in the global food or novel food regulations preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, and fluency in English. An additional European language would be beneficial;
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively to develop new strategies to improve marketing performance; and quick learner, careful, reliable, and solution-driven working style.

Location

Remote position; candidates based in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, or France preferred.
